Discoveries around the world have sometimes coincidentally been brought but putting efforts need to be made for.
Children in today’s class put such efforts into reaching completion of images of the block prints as they expected.
This children’s journey of discovery wasn’t easily completed so they had faced some difficulties in the process of printing, which seemed to be effortless for them. However, the children understood the painting was not so actually easy soon after they had started to do that. In order to produce good quality of print works, each of the children had revised one’s printing how it could be improved, they had deliberately thought this way to make their works better more and more.
Some said ‘I can’t make a better quality of printing as I imagined, and don’t want to do this anymore.’
None of the children, however, gave up to continue to print each of them had obtained a good quality block print in the end.
Children had been overcoming problems which happened in the printing process although they had learnt and found a way to the improvement of the printmaking by themselves through a trial and error process in class. This was great and thought to be their journey of the discovery how the better result could be made through a re-examining process by errors.
I strongly believe all the children had gained experience about problem-solving.
Today’s class, Monday Primary-Kids Class, was the last in 2017 and children in this class in Term 4 who had certainly developed their artistic skills, techniques and appreciation for artworks. I am very proud of the improvements. Thank you very much for all children attending classes of Akihirolab and all those who had helped and assisted us to conduct the classes this year.
