6月26日(月) 今日のレッスンは「モザイク制作」でした。この授業でどこまで自分の作品を作り上げることができたのでしょうか。モザイクに使用した土台となるタイルは9.5cm x 9.5cm、そして貼っていくタイルは様々な色のガラスタイルを使用しました。
制作したサイズは小さめでしたが、工程は本格的で最終的な仕上げはタイル用セメントを使いタイルとタイルの隙間を埋めて完成。
作品には様々なスタイルが出現。ガラスタイルを等間隔で並べパターンを作ったり、また、タイルを並べてシンプルな絵を描いたりと子供たちは楽しんでいました。
今日のレッスンでターム2の月曜クラスは最後でした。子供たちの成長を感じ取れた良いタームだったと思います。子供たちにとっても自分たちの成長を感じ取れたと思います。

26/6/2017 Mon Hello All, we had a Mosaic lesson today and this lesson was the last one in Term 2 2017. Perhaps you will be amazed at children’s mosaics of good workmanship, on pics in here, were made within the lesson (80 minutes).
Making images, we used ceramic tiles (9.5cm x 9.5cm) for the base of the mosaic with small pieces of coloured glass in this lesson. Although the base tile was relatively small, the process of making followed the real and using mosaic professional materials such as an adhesive cement and a grout for filling the gap in between glass tiles.
We can see, there are various styles of children’s mosaic works in this blog. Some neatly laid glass tiles on the base with equal intervals, some intuitively placed these tiles and others put those on hand drawing images on the base tiles. All children pretty enjoyed creating the mosaics.
As I said before that a Monday class today was the final in Term 2 2017 and I have felt a lot of improvement in children’s artistic skills and techniques throughout this term. I hope that children themselves have been able to sense their own improvement within the term.
