8月8日(火)2017 「水墨画」を行いました。ところで皆さん”水墨画”と聞いて、誰(絵師)を思い浮かべましたか？
授業で生徒さんから「”雪舟”の水墨画を描いてみたい。」と要望があり、とってもうれしかったです。早速、雪舟の作品を印刷して、模写しました。
雪舟の作品には、繊細な墨の濃淡やダイナミックな構図など学ぶところが沢山あり、勉強になったと思います。
僕が始めて雪舟の本物を見たのは大学生、東京国立博物館（上野）でした。
いやーその時の衝撃は、今でも忘れられません！
ちなみに、芸大・美大生の間では、博物館や美術館を省略して読んでいました。
東京国立博物館は東博（とうはく）、東京都科学博物館は科博（かはく）、東京都美術館は都美館（とびかん）
変わったところで言うと「としゃび」
これは、東京都写真美術館のことです。
何故か国立西洋美術館は西洋美術館でした。
と、授業報告から脱線しましたね。すみません。
できあがった雪舟の模写は、水墨画の醍醐味である”濃淡”を活かした完成度の高いものとなりました。
最後に日付とサイン、それに落款（名前の印鑑）を押して完成！

Tue 8 Aug 2017 Have you ever heard or seen “Ink and wash painting” before? If yes, which painter(s) do you associate with? In my case, Sesshū or Eitoku Kano come in first. Ink and wash painting that is painted by black ink, which style has its origin in where East Asian. This painting requires just brushes, paper and black ink in various concentrations, there three essentials create a unique world that has suggested an incomparable beauty.
In today’s lesson, a student asked me that I’d like to reproduce Sesshū’s work that made me surprised and happy because Sesshū is the most prominent painter of ink and wash painting and his work shows a wide range of painting techniques, from the basic to advanced, of this painting area. So, I certainly replied “YES” and printed an image of Sesshū’s work out for the student.
During the painting, students exhibited the power of concentration, their work, of course, had the quality when they got paintings done. Lastly, production date, signature and personal seal were placed on paper as the finishing up of this painting.
