7月18日(木)2017 「ポスター制作」を行い、なかなか面白い作品が登場しました。この課題では、描く、または表現する対象を細かく”描写”することより”シンプル”にしてデザインしていくことに力を入れました。

顔が飛び出すポスターと、時計を描いたポスターができました。

顔が飛び出す方は、大きな目が特徴的なキャラクターの顔が開閉し、作者の顔が登場。本人の大好きなキャラクターになることができるポスターですね。作者の無邪気な笑顔が、作品から飛び出してきていて、見ているこちらも笑顔になります。

時計の方は、興味深いデザインコンセプトがあります。画面には”時計”と”人間”の2つのイメージがあります。お互いが関係しながら、そのコンセプトが成立するのです。それは「時計の時刻に、その人が行っていること」がポスターになっているのです。3時に、絵を描いている。といった具合です。

コンセプトがしっかりできれば、作業に移ってから迷うこともありません。迷っても、しっかりしたコンセプトがあれば、それを頼りにして制作の方向性や軸を修正することができます。

「ポスター制作」は、こういったコンセプト作りの大切さを学べた課題でもありました。

来週も、楽しく美術をして、多くを学んでいきたいと思います。

Thu 18 Jul 2017 I just sometimes wonder about who reads my blog written in English and this blog itself is meant to tell audiences what children have learnt in the lesson. I hope the blog works for their parents as well as those who are keen about making art. Let’s take the main topic to be informed here, keeping an ice breaking talk instead. In the lesson today we made posters focusing on design rather than depicting objects. In order to put stress on design, we paid attention to the simplification of the objects how these should be as poster images.

As a result of this lesson, these two posters, each responding to different aim and function to be revealed. One of the posters featured a cartoon character whose face can be gated for inserting someone’s face. A child of this poster inserted one’s face so that she turned into the cartoon character with a big smile.

Another distinguishing poster we had today focused on the concept of the relationship between time and event, each of which was expressed differently in each layer, both were overlapped. I guess to see some images in Slideshow is a better way to know what I am talking about the concept of this poster and its visually 2-layers-structure. For instance, the poster shows two images “a clock” and “a girl”, the girl paints at a specific time that the clock tells, both images are painted in a manner of overlapping.

Both children of the posters have learnt how important the concept of art work is, and they also have noticed art making with unclear concepts that could be having some potential problems during the production. What if the concept were vague for making artworks?

Indeed, before making art the concept is well established that will guide the creator which way is the right to go even if getting the wrong directions, amendment or alteration can easily be found.

I think “Poster making” as the lesson today was informative for children and also for me.
