子供の物事に対しての吸収力には、目を見張るものがあります。

初めての刺激や現象に対して先入観を持たずに、素直に、直接的にそれらを捉えることができるからこそ、その”吸収力”が発揮されるのだと思います。

先日、6歳になる娘がiPadを見ながら熱心にマンガを描いていました。

ハロウィーンの衣装で描いていたのはご愛嬌。

できあがった絵を見て、びっくりしました。

彼女自身、前々からマンガの描き方に興味があり一緒に描いていたのですが、完成していた作品には驚きました。

また彼女はアキヒロラボで「自画像」（顔の中の目や口の関係や比率を使用した）などを行っていたので、その成果もあったのか、マンガの少女が自然に見えます。

また、鉛筆の線に強弱があり表情を豊かにしているのも見逃せない点ですね。

「描く対象をよく見る」見る目（入力）をしっかり養うことができれば、自然と描く力（出力）も上がっていくのだと実感しました。

しかし、自分が6歳の時よりも上手かも知れない！？と内心ドキドキしていたのは内緒です。

Children with their brain power are fantastic that absorb vast amounts of information surrounding them. Receiving information for the first time without prepossessions such as biases and preconceived ideas while children are likely to feel the world more fresh and mysterious which is much different from grown-ups do. Thereby, the children perform their incredible capabilities.

Last day, my daughter (6 yo) drew a Manga character with watching a YouTube clip on iPad.

I had no idea why she got dressed in Halloween costume during drawing but it could be her own technique for getting the drawing more enjoyable. Or, she got started just after pretending a Halloween party.

The drawn Manga girl was astonishingly great and I was slightly confused about a Manga picture of what is really drawn by not a 6-year-old child? It is supposed to be done by at least children twelve years of age or older. The daughter, she has had a lot of interest in Manga pictures and how to draw them, however, I was truly amazed at how many techniques can be used in such a Manga drawing, and she did these by herself. In fact, the Manga girl was sensitively depicted using a pencil with a variety of lines, stronger and weaker as well as heavy and fine.

Learning Self-portrait at Akihirolab, children, my daughter included, have learnt about the proportion of human face how its parts are positioned each other so that Self-portrait might be able to bear fruit for her.

I believe that taking a careful observation is the key to making a great drawing.

For instance, one consciously seeing physical objects (INPUT), is able to develop naturally and steadily one’s skills of drawing (OUTPUT).

I think that my daughter’s Manga is better than my Manga drawn when I was 6.

Lastly, I should say something about her regarding Manga skills why she has shown a good performance in, she regularly draws and paints so much so I can see a pile of papers throughout the house. This is the reason for she made it as you saw here.

All children have plenty of chances to explore a lot of places and challenges, therefore, adults must give opportunities to them and encourage them to develop their abilities in an optimal manner.
